As a Platinum customer, you are entitled to a call with a marketing coach once a month, to help you grow your business. It would be a great idea to get this in place as soon as possible, so we can map out a plan for how we are going to help you this month. Look out in the email for a link to book in your first call, and please do get that scheduled as soon as possible.
If you want to begin to get things ready for us now, below is an outline of the contents of that email: things that will be useful for us, depending on what you would like us to do for you.
Don't worry if you don't know what some of these things are. We can always discuss and clarify with you as we need things.
If we're going to be moving your hosting or your DNS, we're going to need access to the place where you've registered your domain name. This is commonly referred to as your domain registrar. This is typically the place where you bought your domain name, and they will be sending you an invoice once a year or once every couple, to renew it.
Their login will normally be a username or email address, and a password.
Don't worry if you don't know the password. As long as you still have access to the email address, we can try to reset it.
This might well be the same as the Domain Registrar. It might also be your IT Support company, or could be the person or company who last built your website.
Again, when you track it down, we will typically need a username or email address, and a password.
We are not looking to change your email system. We don't really get involved in email, unless you're interested in migrating to Microsoft Office365. But we definitely don't want to break it when we move your website, so it's good to know what you're currently using. If you've got your email with your old website host, we need to be careful we don't stop that working if we're re-hosting the site.
Do you already have Google Analytics installed on your site? Or do you run Google AdWords advertising? Or maybe you have a YouTube account, or a company Gmail account? Again it will be an email address and a password. Typically there will be a recovery mobile number too - it would be good to know that.
We need this if we're going to do anything that integrates with google, including installing Analytics, configuring the Google Search Console, setting up conversion tracking, optimising your Google My Business entry, adding remarketing tags for audience collection, uploading videos to your channel, the list goes on and on!
Again, if you don't have any of this yet, no problem. We'll help you create an account. If you have a personal google account, we can use that, or create a new one for your business.
Facebook Page or Group access
If you would like us to do anything in this space, you will either need to give us access to your page or group, or you will need to give us your login so we can create things for you.
Will we be doing anything on Twitter for you? We'll need your login details.
Same goes for LinkedIn. Do you need any help here? For example, if you are putting a blog post up on your website, we could re-write it into the first person and put it on your personal LinkedIn account as a new article.
Email Sending System
Do you use a system like Mailchimp, Infusionsoft, ActiveCampaign, ConvertKit, Drip, Aweber, CampaignMonitor, etc. etc.?
If this is something we'll be doing more of together - like integrating things into your website to get more leads, we'll need your login details. Normally we'll have to have your primary details, because it costs more money to get extra users on systems like this. But if you already have a multi-user plan, perhaps create us a user?
Phew! That will do for starters. There will probably be other things along the way, but these are the typical things we need in order to look after things.
